March 2019: Syndicate Update

Updated: Mar 31, 2019

Hi all, and welcome to March 2019 edition of the syndicate blog, I hope everyone is well.

Let's get straight into things, Sonlink Boom kicked off the month for the syndicate running on 9th March 2019, Newcastle from trap 3, she was quick out of the boxes and led until the 4th bend coming into the home straight, she was trampled on which didn't help her cause and ended up finishing 3rd, I am sure she will get her 3rd win on the board soon, but perhaps needs a downgrade by the handicapper for her to do so and get that winning spirit back into her.

Some great news then followed as the syndicate brought in a 3rd dog, who arrived at the kennel (Tom Heilbron) on 11th March, a nice looking dog we named TickTock Boom, he is by Tullymurry Act who needs no introduction, he has literally just turned 2 years old and has only ran 10 times, winning 2 out of the last 4, one in A6 one in a handicap, the latest being the A6 win which was a cozy success last time out, I am sure he will get upgraded and he is set to bring many happy times for the syndicate through his racing career I am sure, he has settled to the change of scenery very well and is happy in his new home.

The handicapper wanted Deja Boom to trial again to take a closer look at her before she was assigned a grade, so she had to be trialed over 480m again which she did 29.33cal, so most probably be graded to A3/A4 level to start with.

Trainer Tom Heilbron is excited by her and believes she has bags of potential, she is doing great at home and will be entered to race the final week of March, making competitive debut for both syndicate and kennel.

Sonlink Boom ran again on the 16th March, and she was very quick away, she came a very respectable 2nd by 3/4s of a length, the eventual winner who was the only dog to pass her nipped on the inside on the 3rd bend and ultimately cost her the race, nothing to take away from her run though, the winner is a previous A1 and Open racer, Sonlink has time on her hands being so young there's no rush with her.

TickTick Boom (Mill Fallon) who was due to make kennel and syndicate debut on 23rd March in A5 company on the back of a cozy success was delayed due to a weight variance, so he will need 2 trials to reset his weight then he be racing for us in a few weeks time most probably be 2nd week in April.

Sonlink Boom then followed up her consistent form on the 23r.d March, she wasn't great out of the boxes but still managed to lead the field up the first bend, the higher drawn traps made ground and she plugged on a close 3rd in 29.40s, beaten a little over a length, shes holding her form well and trainer Tom Heilbron is set to do some stamina work on her in coming weeks, which should bring her on plenty.

Deja Boom's long awaited syndicate and debut was next on the 28th Match, running at A3 level from trap 5, she showed blistering early pace with a smart 4.58 split and matched strides with the short priced fav, who had already won 2 of his last 3 in A3 company, she should strip better for that run and plenty of positives came out of the race, she just needs to see it out better but that will come.

TickTock Boom ran first trial since having to re-trial following a weight variance on the back of a kennel move, the 1 dog was lightening away and he pulled wide, didn't see sight of the hare but was within qualifying times, he will trial again first week in April.

Sonlink Boom finished off the month on the 30th March in handicap action. and i said at the start of the months blog she is running well and knocking on the door, she wrapped up the month with a fine win in a handicap, after being knocked showed great determination tp make up back the lost ground to hold on for a fine win, Amazingly there is 2 5% shares left in her to purchase them then please see her page on our website , this was this young puppy's 3rd career win, (Video below Trap4)

And that finaliazes the Month of March blog, Hope you enjoyed reading and we look forward to April.
