May 2019: Syndicate Update
Updated: Jun 16, 2019
Welcome to May's edition of the Syndicate blog, lets get straight into things.
WEEK 1 OF MAY BLOG
First of all a big warm welcome to the new syndicate members, joining us from around the country and the USA. It was great to meet up with a new a new member also, as well as an existing member, We must arrange a meet this summer to watch our dogs race.
Latest recruit TickTock Boom's debut has been delayed due to a slight niggle, he will be given a couple of weeks rest to ensure he doesn't do any damage.
August 17 pup, Sonlink Boom (pic below) and Deja Boom kicked off the racing on the 3rd May, Sonlink Boom was given little chance in a handicap starting at the back with trap 6, she had a lot of work on from the off, and we have now asked the racing office not to put her in handicaps, shes got deadly early pace and is a front runner, I am sure she will add to her already great record of 4 wins when she returns to level breaks
Deja Boom (video below) was next up, and what a great effort she put in, she came 2nd on her 5th start at the track from trap 6, her fitness seems to be getting there after being off track for a while and she is also seeing the trip out better, I think there will be a win on the cards for her in the coming weeks.
WEEK 2 OF MAY BLOG
A quiet week for the syndicate with just Deja Boom running, she flew out the traps but a wide margin winner won in a A1/A2 time, stopped her from gaining her 1st success at the track since moving from Belle Vue, she is running consistently well hopefully her time will come soon for owners (vid below)
WEEK 3 OF MAY BLOG
Another fairly quiet week for the syndicate, Sonlink Boom ran in a handicap despite us requestiong she needs level breaks as she likes to and needs a early lead, she has great early and not given much chance when giving 3 others a headstart, to her credit she stuck to the task and did beat a couple home.
Let's hope she gets level breaks next week.
Deja Boom was entered to run but couldn't due to a minor set back when being loaded into the van, she's none the worse but has been given a course of antibiotics as precaution to ensure her cut is not infected, she will need 21 days clearance time then will be re-trialed and back on the track.
And finally TickTock Boom's progress is looking promising and hes had a good couple of gallops on the newly laid equestrian carpeted surface at our trainers base Link Kennels, he will be trialed next week over the 480m distance, and all being well finally running competitively the week after. WEEK 4 OF MAY BLOG
A fairly quiet week in general with Deja Boom on a course of antibiotics for 21 days following a bump when being loaded into the racing van, TickTock Boom has to re-trial after bumping into another dog on the trial surely he be on the track proper for us in the next couple of weeks.
Then to wrap things up on a more positive note Sonlink Boom earns yet another win flying around from Trap 3 in a handicap that she don't seem to like in a smart fashion. She really has been great to the syndicate and so young hopefully many more years of enjoyment from her (Vid Below)
